FAQs
What days do you work?
I currently offer online psychological therapy sessions on a Tuesday.
What kind of therapy do you offer?
I offer a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and Mentalisation-based therapy.
I work with a combination of approaches, which means I can tailor my practice to best support you according to your needs and goals.
I offer time-limited therapy, where we work to an agreed number of sessions, and also open-ended therapy, which means the therapy can last as long as you need it to.
What happens at our first appointment?
I usually offer an initial appointment during which can talk about what you are experiencing and the reasons you are seeking therapy.
This first appointment is for us to decide if I can offer you the help you need, or if you might be better helped by a different professional or organisation.
If we agree to work together then we will discuss arrangements for starting therapy, including which therapeutic approach and number of sessions.
How much do you charge for a session?
I charge £90 per session for individuals.
I am registered with the following health care insurers: AXA, Aviva and Vitality. Please contact your health insurance provider to ascertain whether you are eligible.
How often will we meet?
I offer regular sessions on a weekly basis at the same time each week. If we agree to start therapy then I will reserve a regular weekly time slot for you.
What happens if I need to cancel a session?
I charge the full fee for any missed or cancelled sessions, unless 48 hours notice is given. I will give you as much notice as possible of any holidays I will be taking.
If I need to cancel a session in the event of an emergency, I will not charge for the session and will endeavour to re-arrange or replace the session where possible.
