What I offer
Individual psychological therapy
I am trained in a range of therapeutic modalities so I can tailor my practice to best support you according to your needs and goals. I currently offer sessions via online video.
I believe in creating a safe and accepting environment where you can feel empowered to explore your difficulties and enhance your wellbeing.
I offer both time-limited therapy, where we work to an agreed number of sessions, and open-ended therapy, which can be as many sessions as you would like.
I use Psychodynamic, third wave CBT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Mentalisation based approaches.
Mentalisation-based therapy (MBT)
Mentalising is the ability to reflect and think about ourselves and others in the context of our relationships.
Although originally developed for individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD; formally known as Borderline Personality Disorder), MBT is an approach that can benefit anyone who experiences difficulties managing or communicating in relationships, who experiences a tendency to react impulsively to emotions or who struggles with an insecure sense of self.
I currently work within an NHS secondary care service delivering MBT interventions to individuals with EUPD. I am also training as an MBT practitioner with the Anna Freud Centre in London.
MBT is an explorative therapy that is recommended to be delivered over a minimum of 24 sessions. If you are interested in learning more about this approach please contact me to discuss your individual needs.
Clinical Supervision
I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified psychologists and therapists, via online video or face to face. Please get in touch if you would like to enquire further.
